DOE funds 10 hydrogen storage projects

The Department of Energy has awarded up to $15.3 million to 10 university, government and corporate research teams to develop practical hydrogen storage systems for vehicles as part of the National Hydrogen Storage Project.

The researchers are working toward room-temperature hydrogen storage with the ultimate goal of enabling hydrogen-powered vehicles with ranges of more than 300 miles.
